LaharFlow
the Bristol model of lahars on evolving topography.

Service resumed

We would like to apologize for the recent break in service.

An upgrade to the LaharFlow server caused several unanticipated maintenance issues. A combination of circumstances meant these took longer to rectify than usual, and no notice was given. In future, we will try to give longer advanced notice of maintenance periods.

The upgrades are now complete and LaharFlow calculations can be resumed. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this service interruption.

About

LaharFlow is a tool for modelling the dynamics of lahars. The mathematical model is based on the shallow water equations and includes a description of bulking-up through the entrainment of solids eroded from the bed, deposition of the solid phase, and evolution of the topography. Read more....
